Come and explore Marton West Beck in a fun way for children.
Next Sunday 2nd July any time between 11am and 3pm
A community event for all ages and abilities. It is also a chance for us to work with other environmental groups to widen the public knowledge of the natural surroundings of Fairy Dell.
Some of the activities available on the day....
The Tees Rivers Trust
For guests, especially children, to take samples from the beck and be taught how to recognise the creatures they find in the water. The shallow section of the beck, just below the ‘water splash’, is the site to be used during the event. They will then go to the marquee and be shown how to identify their finds. The activity for children will be to make a diagram of their ‘finds’ from which they will then make a permanent transfer on to either a tee shirt or a tote bag.

Tees Valley Wildlife Trust
will have the ‘Winds of the Tees’ project leader emphasising the fabulous wildlife of the River Tees.
Also present will be the ‘Honey pots and Education Spaces’ project leader with activities relevant to bees.
MBC Health Development Team
will be offering a range of activities incorporating the recently installed fitness equipment in the park. The team will also be promoting other sessions and promotions in which Middlesbrough Council are involve
