Year 3 children from Hemlington Hall school visited Fairy Dell today. The visit was the result of an invitation from Dave Elliott of Friends of Fairy Dell, who is a governor at the school. The children enjoyed meeting up with some members of the Friends group who were busy with their Tuesday morning tasks. The group then went down to the Dell and saw the witch, the bird hide and enjoyed watching the ducklings. They sat at the Fairy seats to eat some of their lunch but refused to accept there were real fairies down in the Dell. We then walked along the new farm path and enjoyed watching the cows, sheep and especially the horses who enjoyed the carrots provided by Mr Walker their teacher. The visit concluded with an opportunity to buy some gifts from the farm shop. The chidren were very well behaved and a credit to their school. We hope they and other children from the school will visit us again.
